The 83/200 hdi transducer is a little over $100 I believe.  A bit more if you want 50/200 hdi ducer.

Thx for the info Bill. I got my Elite4 HDI finally, but not in time for the Albion tourney.
I still looking at options on mounting the transducer..
I am leaning on using the TDA made by Mad Frog, but that means I'll need to put in a Scotty mount just aft of my seat.

But if I got it via WM online in the last 2weeks, you think I have the older software?
Thx,
Dave

I've got mine on a RAM arm. It allows me to go from my Outback to my OK T15 with ease.
If you need ideas for mounting the head unit: Go with a RAM, very clean and re/moveable. Check out the 4HDI review I did, it has all the RAM order #'s.

I believe version 4.0 is latest and came out recently.  Most likely need to upgrade software when you get a chance.

Hi bill,

So I followed that link to try to install Ver 4.0 on my recently purchased Elite 4HDI.

Looks like it won't work with iOS.
I called Lowrance tech support and I was told that I need to do this update via Windows.

I then called my local WM store (546)  and spoke with Jason, mgr. to see how best to update my FF, if I am running iOS at home.

He discussed options like Virtual Box ????? Or Wine, to get a compressed version of a Windows operating system.

Sounds like a pain in the ass honestly...but I would like to learn about this Insight Genesis, which I gather is part of the software update.

Is the update on a sd card readily avail either thru WM or Lowrance?

Thx,
Dave

Dave,

I'm a PC guy so I am not familair with iOS at all.  I'll download the version 4.0 & put it on a card to send via mail if you'll send me the card back.  Most of the W.M stores don't have an updated card since their systems block out the ability to download anything off the internet.  I don;t usually get up to the Rocklin/Sacramento area too often.  There is another Pro-Staff guy up in the area who is also named Bill.  He too should have the up-to-date card since he cservices the W.M stores up there for software updates.  I can put you guys in touch if that would help.

The update will give you better features for Genesis.  The current versions will already support these features though.

Let me know how I can help!

Bill

I am in East Bay (el sobrante) ....but Thanks for your offer to help..

Dave

Dave,

Is the problem you cannot unzip the file?
