Folks,

I'm switching to a Scupper Pro so am selling my T15. It's in great shape, has four flush mounted rod holders, and some cool customization under the Pod. I'm keeping the seat and paddle, sorry. I am the original owner and bought this as a newbie under advisement of our dear brother, Mooch. He took me on my first outing to Linda Mar, showed me how to dump and recover, and taught me to land on the beach paddling in backwards. What a great man. . .

I've listed on CL for $900, but will knock $100 off for one of you. (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/spo/4551497321.html)

Just curious...what is the improvement you are getting over the T15?

The Scupper Pro is the same length but is about 3 inches narrower. While faster, I'll be giving up stability. I'll also be giving up the Rod Pod and storage. However, I bought my wife a T13 so kind of have a backup plan. . .

I read through many posts about this and and am kind of just going for it.

The bungies are used for attaching to anything you want to store in the hull that you don't want to slide to back of the boat. I attached to extra rods, water bottles, food, my flare gun, etc, so it is immediately available when I flip off the Pod cover.

Just remember they don't make the 15 anymore. Ive had both and while I do love the scupper pro( bought my first one in 96) the t-15 has so much more to offer. Good Luck.

Very good point. . .  I test drove the Scupper Pro at HMB yesterday with my wife shadowing me on her T13. I dumped once trying to gear up and again as soon as I got back on the yak. Fortunately, most of my gear was on the T13 and I only lost about $10 worth of tackle. I've got to say recovering from an unexpected dump is quite exhilarating. I'm definitely glad I practiced in the past (again, thanks to Joel!).

Since I have access to the T13, I'm going to buy the SP and keep the T15 posted.
