Hey all.  Just bought my first Kayak, a used 2 man.  I've been giving some thought to giving this Yak thing a go, but to be honest, it was hard to rationalize.  But, with the drought, and the water levels dropping as we watch, when a fellow kayaker put a couple of his used ones up for sale, I pulled the trigger.

My plan is to to use the Yak to get my little grandson hooked on fishing with me.  There is a little lake near by, loaded with blue gills that, I  hope, will be the perfect spot to get the fishing bug going. And, as our water levels continue to drop, I hope it will give me access when my little 14ft Klamath can even launch,  We will see.

I have a few simple mods planned, and will see how it goes.  Looking forward to perusing the site and seeing how you all have set up your yaks!

I live up near New Melones, and fish there, as well as Beardsley, Spicer, and hope to take a road trip up to highland lake real soon.  See you out there!

Welcome aboard.  Bet your tin boat goes unused for a long time now that you have a kayak.

Sounds like it's time to buy the grandson a lifetime fishing license!
