Hi,
I know everyone including myself knows this, but I neglected to pay attention, and left my 1 year old T13 where it was exposed to about 4 hours a day of sun.  I didn't think it would be so bad and was just waiting to get a round to devising a nice cover some day.  Last week I was about to launch from Casper and thought I'd snug up the forward hatch strap.  It broke clean right in the middle.  I had thought they were just stiff from salt,...wrong....the other one  broke easily in my hands.  I went thru the rest of the nylon webbing straps which should be strong enough for a mountain climber to hang from, and they were all ratty.  Bummer... loosing a hatch in the waves would be ugly, pool noodles or not.
I  am getting all new straps including the ones in the handles from  Ocean Kayak,  thru Clavey in Petaluma.
Check your straps.  UV is real damaging.

Good to know, I need to get mine out of the garage so I can get my woodworking shop back.  What do others do to store outside?  I might put mine under the deck.

Spraying it with 303 is supposed to help prevent UV damage.
