...for a Hummingbird Piranha MAX 15.

This is for a buddy of mine. He owns the meter only. I tried to plug it into my Hummingbird 120's base and transducer, but No joy? My 120 has only 6 AA batteries and the Piranha MAX 15 requires 8 AA's.

Anybody got any Piranha MAX 15 spare parts laying around in trade for a few $$ or ?

thanks in advance,

I pieced a battery pack together from odds & ends at Fry's Electronics. They had a whole isle of battery packs (my Humminbird also takes 8 AA's), wiring, grommets, etc, and spliced a fuse inside between the battery clips and the line running out of the battery pack. Give them a shot...

Thanks for the info on the battery packs at Frye's.

I still need the transducer.

Honestly, by the time you dink around with a battery pack & transducer, you are nearly at the price of a new FF.  Most transducers will set you back $50+ new.
