Sounds like a trailer might be in your future. I have a tadem outfitter and it's 75 lbs empty. Doable but I rigged it to fit my trailer so when I am out single it's a snap. Thanks for the pics.and congrads on 22yrs. My wife and I celebrated this month also.

One thing I'm curious about is the high center of gravity.  What is the side to side stability with all the weight so high up?

EXCELLENT stability due to wide track and  heavy weight. I am 6'3 and 230# and they are not tippy at all. Turn the boat over and look and it actully has almost a catamaran type construction.

Where is the rudder control?  How do you steer?

Rudder control is a lever at your right hand that works very well.

Yep, trailer seems to be the way to go. I have 3 other tandems and a canoe so the trailer will get used a lot.
