Santa Cruz But Hunt

06:30Hrs Went out today from the west harbor with a small crew looking for the Halibut. I was with Bear, Camino, and Andrew. AlsHobieOutback crew was already out on the water. Headed out the jaws south east toward the sailors buoy. arrived at the 40ft mark and dropped down a jumbosquid


with a 4oz ball wait just to real it back in to change the wait to 2oz. We were barely drifting and the water clarity was amazingly clear. I could see my bait twenty feet down.

It must of been about ten minutes and nothing was happening so i yell out to the guys that i was going to move to deeper water. I waited for them to catch up  before i started to real in slowly and that's when i got hit. Fish on! 08:00 One Butt on board. Hers the pics

Awesome fish guys!!! If I wasn't stuck doing bathroom remodel on my so called "vacation", I would've been butt hunting also. I hear and see butts everywhere.

Nice catch guys.  I was there with CK, Ooter1, and Tak2.  I heard you guys on the radio and someone had a big one on for quite a while and I never found out what happenned.  I Roe had me rolling with his "jello shots" reason.
