Perhaps BB's for brains. I really don't see the point in oceanic travel from California to Hawaii in a small yak where ones safety depends an all equipment working perfectly and not breaking down. Would this be tried if there were no Coast Guard to provide a bailout when things go wrong? Perhaps a charge of expenses for rescue is in order. Should taxpayers foot the bill?

Sweet. Just found a way to get my dog over there without their 4 month quarantine.

Should have water proofed the solar panels and used dielectric grease!

Nit.

This has been done before. sail assisted is the way to go, AI is the right answer. Takes about two months.

I can't find it now on my phone cuz I'm dumb, but it was done back in the days before GPS. That's nuts.

Sounds like a pretty miserable way to get to Hawaii.  Even sailing there would suck, in my opinion.  I just give $400 to Alaskan Air and watch a movie, personally.
