Everyone did an Amazing job once again,  and hate to single out anyone,

But I've got to give a Big Thanks to the Weirmarian Family for taking over the check in and all those Waivers…

and to Piski for staying on deck all day making sure everything ran smooth on the dock…

That was so Huge and such a relief for me as to be able to focus on all the other things happening.

I usually get my 3 day migraine headache after these events as I do too much…

Well,  no headache and feel great….  Thank You so much!!!

and as Usual,  the anchor,  The Rock…  Master Navy Chef KayakJack and the "Taco Stand"….  :smt066

Your all Hired, but your Pay will remain the same….   :smt002

Amazing event. Best one yet. It had that festive carnival/familly/ncka feel. We managed to pump out 320 breakfast tacos. Every one was eaten. I got to give huge props to galley crew. They stepped up and worked hard to make it happen. The crew: Ohhgee who was there at dawn and stayed til the last dish was packed in the truck. Shicken and his crew. They assembled every taco with love and precision and topped them with marvelous marvin's home smoked pulled pork and Ohhgee's homemade salsa. Skipro worked the big pan with passionate attention to detail. Somehow he managed to get 15lbs jalapeño,15lbs onion,20lbs smoked sausage,25 bunches cilantro,5lbs cheese and 210 eggs all properly cooked in 1 pan. The tortilla lady. A woman of latino heritage who wandered in from the heat and cooked a shitload of tortillas and then quietly wandered back off into the heat. I don't know her name but she was really great. Thank you tortilla lady. We love you.

The credit goes to Jack on KP.  We all love him so much, how can we NOT help him where ever we can in his kitchen??!!  Thanks for the lesson on HOW to cook for 200.  My arms are sore from stirring!!  Ha!

And a big thanks to the crew selling T-shirts too!  They set up next to the kitchen and were selling those shirts, hats and stickers until I think there was almost nothing left.  I don't know all their names, but each one deserves to be mentioned here, so if anyone can, please give them the recognition and introduce them.

Thanks too to the Lodi Parks folks who looked the other way for the parking fees for the crew.

Sorry I wasn't able to stay later than I did, the heat was too wearing on this old man and I had to get out of it.

This was our first HOW event, it was really incredible!! So thankful to all the veterans, and their families, for all their sacrifices! All the volunteers did great, especially with the heat. The kayak is SWEET, can't wait to get out on the water. Laura and I may try and get over to Shadow Cliffs during the week, after work of course.

Sweet Bill, so happy for you. You are going to LOVE the Eddyline. I may hit SC this Thursday afternoon to test my new stacker. Sorry I missed this event. My daughter was home for the weekend so it was family time. Strong work guys and gals.

I think you are referring to Amy. She is a family friend. She saw te event on facebook and asked if he could help. Without any hesitation she hopped into the taco Stand and began helping. She is suh a sweet lady.

I was happy to be part of this event.

Got there early, around 6am to help prep and set up where I could.  I took the opportunity to rig up all the rods since it looked like someone needed to do that.  While I was doing that I threw out a trout rod to see if I could hook any of the trout.  I didn't hook up a trout..... :smt002

Anyways after that everyone had pretty much settled in their roles so I just hung out around launch command and chased bluegill. I did take an opportunity to jump on one of Headwater's SUPs to do a patrol.  While on my patrol I happened to come up on my Propel being ridden by a nice gentleman near the diversion dam.  He told me he really enjoyed the kayak and seemed to be having a fun time even without a fish.

The day got HOT and I came back to eat lunch and started packing up and unrigging the rods I had so studiously worked on in the morning.

Thanks Ben,

That was a HUGE set up with around 50 plus rods….

and thanks to Bill ( Winner of the Eddyline! ) for helping to de-rig them too….  that's a big job at the end of the day as all the rods need to be down line attached to the line clip on the reel otherwise, storing is impossible
