I install a large STS game bag on my tramp and keep my landing net there in a rocket launcher along with my hog trough so all my landing stuff is on the tramp.

Decided to make my own set cause I'm a cheap bast.. and wanted a different color.  Modeled them after the Amish tramps found on eBay, but made one full-width.  It gives me the best of set of options for hauling gear, dog, etc. but still have room for a paddle if needed.  Bought the materials from Sailrite which has a bunch of tutorials and material lists.  The material I used is a mesh, but the weave is so dense that it acts as if it were solid.

I have heard mixed results on the spray skirts, but haven't tried a set yet to have my own opinion on them.  I still have enough materials to make some should I ever want to.

Have fun out there.

I was wondering who was in the dune AI at the HMB opener at the red can. Sorry I didn't come over and introduce myself. Etienne also made his own tramps. Built in a pocket for the dagger board. Who was the guy with the mango AI and white pickup truck?

That'd be me.

On our mango colleague, do you mean the partially rigged AI, that was out there?  If so I think his name is Jay, but I didn't catch his NCKA handle.

I added a pocket on one of my tramps but don't use it much.

The weather looks like it might be reasonable on Sunday, although 5-footers every 10 seconds isn't exactly bathtub like.  Maybe I'll see you out there.  There could be a few of us.

I thought that was Jae (Papio3). He hasnt  been out much since he got married. I was going to rag on him.  :smt005 I have to fish on Friday this week and will be back for more. You were 50 yards off the spot. You probably noticed the 4 boats and 2 kayaks to your north west. Just saying. You will know when you get there by your sonar. :smt003

I use the Hobie tramps and I love them! I do all my fish landing off them. Landed big halibut, salmon and WSB on them. So easy just to slide em up onto the tramp. I may try it with just one this year tho. I keep a heavy duty burlap bag with me also and when I get a fish it goes in the middle of the tramp. The water splashing up on it and the cool breeze through keeps fish nice and cool. I was landing salmon bare handed last year.  :smt004 I also have an adjustable heavy bungie cord with a hook on it that I pull over everything to help keep it all in place while sailing. Makes a great fishing platform.
