Hi all, I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks; reading your posts, looking at photos and getting ideas.
I spent many years in the Bay area; living in the City, San Bruno and Pacifica. When I retired a few years ago I moved to Orygun.

My favorite fishing and boating in NorCal is the Bay for sailing, Pacifica and the Bay for Stripers, Berryessa for Largemouth Bass, and the upper Sacramento near Anderson/Redding for trout and Salmon.

At the moment I'm down to an aluminum Pram and a float tube. I've been looking at and demoing kayaks for the past couple of months and have not quite found the craft I want. However, I'm down to a short list and hope to have a SOT soon.

You should investigate the NWKA  family up north.

Hi and thanks for the welcome.
I joined the other forum up north a month ago and been busy reading up on places to go as well as various Kayaks.
I do get to NorCal quite often to visit friends in the Seiad Valley area (along the Klamath) so will pack the new Kayak along to play some on the way down or back.
Thinking about a run on the Sacramento; I'll contact Headwaters to see if they know anyone who shuttles vehicles. Used to be a person who did that for the Fly Shop; I'll look into that too.
Lots of great information on these forums; I'll keep reading for now. I'll not be much of a poster until I get a boat.
