You guys so far north can use Apple wood. In fact as far as I can tell Apple is the most used for smoking. Did up some Salmon today with a little trout. The apple wood was great. Joe do you soak your wood to extend the woods life and more smoke?

I've also wondered where to get cold hardy banana to plant in my yard.  My family enjoyed using banana leaves as table cloth n plates last Mother's Day.

Thanks Joe.  Thought he was someone I knew here from the area.  My kid usually have travel baseball tourneys in Woodland every now and then.  I would love to dig a couple from your yard in the future.
