[HOOKUP] HMB Tuesday June 3

Going to drop a few crab traps and look for some rockfish. It would be great if anyone wanted to join me! I know the forecast is generally not always accurate a week out, but SwellInfo has the winds under 10mph. Anything single digits is cool with me. I've never tried rockfishing out there so it would be amazing if someone with experience would grace us with their presence!

Crabbed down there last Friday. Must of thrown back about 50 small crabs. Looking good for next season, but slim pickings right now. Good luck, and please post report. Went home with 6 dungies, 2 big rocks.

I have to work on Tuesday, but I'm going to try and get out this Sunday, June 1.  Weather, wind, and WAF permitting.

I may give it a try on Sunday, too.

Looks like there is a hookup thread for Sunday HMB already! Stupid work. Actually, I take that back. I love working the weekends. Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday are classically my days off, and it's nice to not be surrounded by big scary gas boats.

Last time I was hauling my traps at HMB, some d***head (or is that d*****bag?) in a 20'+ Boston Whaler started motoring toward me at full steam ahead. It was quite a crappy feeling to have in a little kayak. He steamed to about 20 yards from me, and I thought he was going to smash me. Finally, he "slammed on the brakes" and started looking for his trap. I think he thought I was "checking his traps for him". Sometimes I wonder if I should bring a pistol out there with me, or at least a slingshot or something. I thought he was going to kill me!
