I was going to buy some HUGE minnows here locally and bring them up.  Is Huge bait right now not a good thing?  I have always thought bigger bait= bigger fish.

Right now the stripers are eating YOY shad.  Teensy.

Sometimes stripers can be very discriminating.  Other times not.

It might be worth a shot though.

Thinking a large cat will win sumpen sumpun.  Are yacks allowed on Mendo at night? right. Q. 2.5 are jumbo minnows ok at this venue? Just once I would like to be Chucks freezer!

The shop is on Lake Mendocino Dr.  Take the the Lake Mendo Dr. exit off of 101, a few mile south of 20/101 juction.

Chumming FW isn't legal, so its not ok in the tourney.  There is a $50 big kitty jackpot.  Live bait, including jumbo minnows are just fine.

Just an FYI - I caught the winning fish last year on a pretty large minnow from the baitshop.
