What kayaks to buy the kids

I have 4 little ones ages 8, 10, and two 11 year olds. I'm shopping for kayaks right now. I'm wondering if the Costco or Big 5 yaks would be good to start with. I could buy all 4 right now that way or just buy 2 higher end yaks for all to share and then get another 2 yaks next year...was thinking about  waiting for used yaks that come up here from time to time and just collect 4 that way...they still have lots of growing up to do so throwing them into a big yak this young might not be the way to go. Not sure here.

Any ideas for me? I'd like to get 2 yaks by this July for our big family/friends camping event.

I just Logan ( ling Slinger) a Malibu Mini X because I know this one is going to be great on the ocean and lakes. It is extremely stable and one that I can even use.

The mini-x is a great little boat. Glen/G-whiz/whatever his name is now has one for sale.

With kids this age, it might be best to go "cheeper" on this yak.  You could ge them better, larger yaks that might be a little more trouble to learn on or get 4 for the same price (lesser quality but good learners better suited to their size).  I was at Dick's Sporting Goods in Salinas this weekend & saw a few yaks be sold while I was there.  Cheeper quality but looked worthwhile.  I think I saw a few at like 40% off (~$200-250'ish).  COSTCO also had PILES of starter yak's in yum-yum yellow.  Didn't loomk at the price.  Nice part with lesser priced yaks is the investment is low & you can re-sell on CL or here with minimal loss in investment.  Always make good loaner yak's too.

We were looking as well for our 10 and 7 year olds. All the Costco's in the Sacramento area are out and probably won't be getting more... . $99 with the paddle. Nothing fancy but perfect for them
