purchase fishing license for Baja

I'm going to Baja (east cape) next week and realize the house we're renting has kayaks -- but I'm also realizing I will need a fishing license to fish from one.  Anyone know if there's a place to buy a license in the Los Barriles area?

Wish I had the answer to your question. Please post a report after your trip, I've been wanting to fish the baja for a long time. What kinda fishing you planning on doing?

I buy a yearly Mexican fishing license in Cabo every July. But where I buy mine is a couple hour drive from where you will be.

A flotation device includes all types of motorized boats, but also includes non-powered flotation devices such as sea kayaks, surfboards, or even an air mattress.

I ended up going through Discover Baja Travel http://www.discoverbaja.com/  and so far they seem very helpful. I'm flying down this Saturday so needed a way to take care of it quickly.  They have a non-member fee that adds about $5 to the price, but going through them allowed me to use my credit card rather than mail a money order to Mex tourist office in San Diego.  They then emailed me a copy of the license and sent the hard copy priority mail.  Fingers crossed it all works out...  I think I could buy one at the Palmas Hotel in Barriles, but wasn't able to confirm that.


I'll be fly fishing both from shore and yak. Will post a report when I get back.
