Hi,

Mike here.  I have always loved fishing and have only recently taken up doing it from a kayak.  Right now, I pretend my Emotion Envy 11 is an angling kayak and have added a few things to sort of "fake it."  Having a blast with it so far and have much to learn.  I'm hoping to have the coins to get a purpose built angling 'yak within the next year or so.  Right now, I'm making due with what I have and having a blast doing it!

A few pics...

Looking forward to perusing these boards for insight and guidance (and maybe even a new angling buddy or 2)!

Welcome!

I don't know of any 'villians on these boards yet. I grew up in Susanville, over on the coast now. I look forward to Antelope Lake and Eagle Lake reports!

Cool.

Big buoy and Sarah lived in Susanville for a few years too. And of course Clayman aka the Almanor Whisperer is in Chester.

Welcome aboard Mike.  You're just east of me  :smt001.  If you want to hit up Almanor sometime, let me know and we'll get on fish!  Or Antelope.  I've been wanting to give Antelope's largemouth a shot this spring.

I saw smallies already on beds last week, so you have a really good shot at finding a dumb/aggressive one  :smt003.

Well, I normally chase cold water species but as I get deep into the ol' "mid-life" I'm gonna try to broaden my horizons...lol :smt005

Welcome to the Merrymentandmayhem Mike.  Catchn' fish from your yak, nothing fake about that. Nice to see another over the "over the hill" yaker.
