AB Diving Mendo 8 May 2014

So me and I guy(Ken) from work went diving today. We started out with the plan to dive road 500 D in Mendo. once we left the dive shop we headed that way. Ken then called one of his buddies that lives in Russian Gulch and he said don't go there, that he would meet us at a place, just drive down the road until we seen him. we hook up with him and he showed us where to go. He said there were 9s everywhere and to make sure we bring our spear guns. so we did. I was in the water maybe 30 min when BAM my first Ling(30 in). I was soooo excited. After swimming around and getting 2, 9 in Abs(also the biggest Abs I have ever gotten).  we decide to move a little. as we are swimming I see another  big ling, whamo, I hit him right in the head. he is 37 in long. as we were leaving I found another 9 in Ab. WOW what a day. oh yeah forgot to mention the water was FLAT, no wind, a heavy mist, no surge

zapato it was top to bottom. I spent most of my time in 10 to 15 fow, went to a spot that was 20 ft for a bit too.
