I fished Berryessa with my friend Gadgetman today in my non yak vessel.   Of course the kokanee were on the bite and we ended the day with 7 to the boat and a small trout for good measure.  Counting just the first 5 koks that I caught the derby points would have totaled 920 …….  Maybe next year my timing will be better or should we say the fishes timing.  A few pics.

First light on the water.

The "pile" shot.

We stopped on the way home to check the boat straps and observed this poor doe caught in the top of a fence.  Recently deceased she missed the jump by one wire.

Nice job on the Kokanee. Very sad about the deer. Mans temporary boundary markers suck balls.

WTG, nice stringer, pulled an easy limit of small Kokes from Whiskeytown last Sat., may have to have a Salmon slam up here also  :smt044
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Nice kokes.  One of these days I want to catch some and use them for pacific halibut bait.
