Wow.  Well, someone is serious about this.

OK, I can bring a shovel.

We may have a rough time getting rocks, and who has a wheel barrow?

I have a machete also, so count on me for a shovel and machete.

Guess I'm not gonna smoke that pork shoulder tomorrow.

I can get pigs the same day.

If your coming up highway 101 there are a zillion rocks at Comminsky Station, which is a few miles north of Cloverdale.

Just to be clear, I am 100% supportive of you guys doing this, but i will be largely booked with the event.  I will however help when possible.

There is a Comminsky Station pull-out on 101 a few miles north of Cloverdale.  The "beach" there is usually a bunch of rocks.  It is a big area, and nobody will give you any grief.  I'll give it a quick drive by on my way home tonight.

Okay Sean, I understand, but Jelly isn't too old yet to believe in burried treasure, right?  :smt002

Mol, the classis river rock shape is what we need, the more uniform the better. I'll be loading as much as I can load in my van. I think if 3 or 4 more people bring a five gallon buket-full then we'll have enough.

If someone from the Friday afternoon group can find a location convienent to the picnic tables within 40yds and away from all trees above because our fire will be large inside the pit lined with stones, then please get a start on digging a rectangle shaped pit approx 5'x8'. When I get there about sunset, I'll help dig too. We eventually need it 2 1/2 ft deep. A coffin shaped pit is about what we want.

If someone has a 10ft piece of steel rebar, please bring that too. It won't be damaged at all. It will be a carrying aid used to raise and lower the pig wrapped in chicken fence.

Thanks everyone, see you there,
Craig

Checked out the rock scene at Comminsky....LOADED.  right off the pull out there are a zillion of the right kind.  Was tempted to chuck a few in the Civic, but I wussed out!
