If you went to the seminar then your good to go.  Again Safety, if you come out this Fish N Chill or anytime kayaking on the water, you should always wear your Life vest (PFD).  If your in danger or need help use your paddle to sign for help if you don't have your VHF.  If your lure is stuck while trolling and won't pop out.  Let some line out, paddle back and past a little ways the spot where the lure got snagged then reel your slack line and your lure should raise back up to surface.  If not, give couple of tugs and if that doesn't work you can try paddling up more and give it a tug.  Brake off your line if you have to for it's not worth going into the danger zone.

If you missed out on the seminar the method is trolling a shallow crankbait (illegal to use in bass boat tournaments) .  Parallel your kayak with the riprap/rockwall and just troll.  Color of choice is a crawdad pattern.

For Stripers you can drift Jumbo minnows on 3/4 -2oz sinker on a three way rig.

That's all the info I can give for ya'll missed out on the seminar.    :smt008

Sorry to make this situation comeplex again, but the date has been changed due to a event I have to attend for the 22nd.  High tide is at 2:09pm so try to be back at the luanch by 2:20pm.  I should have food going by 1-2pm.  If you plan to come out and didn't make the seminar swing by (look for a red civic) and I'll give you pointers or if you want a nice cold non-alcholholic drink before heading out.  Remember to cover up (my summer outfit consist of a hat, sunglasses, longsleeve shirt with a UPF rating of at least 30, Buff UV face shiled, Buff UV Gloves, wadders booties cut off and splash water onto wadder to cool off), from the sun/heat and/or put some sunscreen on.  I'll be on my radio channel 69 if you need anything.

Yes!  I knew that only a few members would have utilized this technique already for catching bass.  But for the most part not many know.  Ben did you catch anything at Berryessa with this method?  Rob, I did recall you catching black bass using this method at the HOW Kelsey Bass Ranch event.

I caught about a dozen...6 or 7 little ones in the morning on a JSR5 then some nicer ones in the afternoon.  I was trolling them deeper since the bass were holding about 10-12 feet down.

Thank You Ben!  10-12ft was that sweet spot at Berryessa.

Roll Call time!  Let's get a head count.  Reply back here if your going so I can prep food and water.  Clarksburg Boat launch is just South of Clarksburg in Yolo County.

There are about 17 parking spaces in the red circled area.  The rest you see north east is parking for vehicles with trailers.  I'm sure we can park there too, if we have too.  The blue mark is where I'll try to get our table set-up and the yellow is the free launch.  Parking and use of launch is free, for now ( let's keep it that way).

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

That place is called Merrits. It is a Sturgeon hot spot for shore anglers. I've caught many in the area from shore and boat.

Yup!  Just north of it but the launch is on the Yolo side.

Back in the days!

Just remember that if you are traveling from the Sacramento side, the east side of Sacramento River, to Clarksburg Boat Launch, you either have to cross the green bridge at Freeport or the orange/yellow bridge at Paintersville (south of Courtland).
