Yes, all entrants still get their lures. You just gotta show up to get them. I don't think I can handle distribution any other way.

If the swell is from the south timber cove is washed. If its from the NW the cove stays pretty calm at the launch. Until you get out to the north end point. Once past that its on. 5 ft from the NW is nothing. Its the 20 + knot winds that will make it nasty. Good call Ruben. Listen to your gut and take a check with the ocean experienced guys. If its too messed up it will be a great day for some rough water launch and landing practice.

I just lost my sitter for Saturday, so if someone wants to take my spot PM me.

I might still bring my kids by to hang out for awhile, but can't compete.

BTW - Sunday looks great, so let's hope that WX moves into Saturday. I'm fishing Fort Ross Sunday morning.

Sunday Variable winds 5 kt or less. Mostly sunny. Mixed swell...WNW 4 ft and SW 1 ft. Wind waves around

from NOAA
 SAT
NW WINDS 20 TO 30 KT. WIND WAVES 4 TO 7 FT.
NW SWELL 6 TO 8 FT AT 10 SECONDS.

From National Weather Service

saturday NW wind 11 to 16 kt. Partly sunny. NNW swell 2 to 3 ft becoming WNW. Wind waves 1 to 2 ft.

What is the difference between NOAA and NWS.  When I go to either site, I get redirected to the same site.  So I don't know how they can be reporting differently.  Can you provide the links where you got that info?

-Allen

sure thing.
Here is what i called NWS
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=38.52930030237279&lon=-123.2764720916748

and here is what i was calling NOAA
http://forecast.weather.gov/shmrn.php?mz=pzz540&syn=pzz500

I usually go to the later, and now realize that they seem like the same organizations, however they have slightly different forecasts.

aloha,

Isao

That's a good call Ruben, but if I make the 3.5 hour drive down I will still be fishing and/or diving. I guess I will be showing up with full gear now. Only day tripping it so I just may hang close to home too. I may grab a tag and head to the hills for some meat now.

Wow the forecast keeps getting worse. They have a small boat advisory out. Of course I have gone out on several SBA's that were ok. The WX for Sunday is going bad too.

I might join you on Sunday.  Fort Ross is one of my favorite places to launch for RF.  As for the tourney, I'll be bringing some provisions in case of a cancellation.

How will the raffle work for the Grand prize?  It should be only 1 chance per a person to make it fair.  Im planning on fishing damnit!!

Hmmm, Going with that... If cancelled... Why couldn't all those PAID, Win in the raffle there or NOT? I assume your not selling extra chance tickets to the raffle. 71+- tickets and prize delivery shouldn't be a problem. (no Kayak/huge prizes) What do you think Ruben? Odds are that if the WX worsens and this thing gets cancelled, we could play from home and save $200.00 -300.00 in gas/camp to spend on AOTY opportunities.... I for one, NEED to fish... (AOTY, KAYAK WARS) Can all that PAID (71+-) play raffle even if not there?

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!
