It's better to ask questions now. Even if they seem silly to some folks.  Don't ridicule others asking for clarification.

I don't think the rules could be any more simple, or clear, omg.. sometimes it's like my wife's 8th grade class in here, lol

Yeah seems pretty straight foreward to me.. :smt044

To that end I am gonna level the playing field by limiting each angler to one rod and reel and three lures (provided), everybody fishes the same three lures, no bait, no scents.  No mechanized propulsion systems, no sails, no fish finders, no GPS, just a kayak, a paddle, landing gear and safety equipment. Simple, right?

..........Sincerly A-Hull Muggle.

I assumed no weights. On the other hand , weights are used for simple fishing. Better safe than sorry. I'd hate to handicap myself if they were allowed.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

Yes, better safe than sorry. It would suck to have to DQ the biggest fish.  So let's try to get this all cleared up.

You may only use what I provide. With the exception of connecting tackle such as swivels, snaps, clips and extra leader material.

NO TACKLE BOXES/BAGS WILL BE ALLOWED.

Please remember the idea is that you all fish the same gear so that nobody has an advantage other than skill.

If you have any more questions please post them.

ALERT Highway 37 closure Sep 26 to Sep 29 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. per the Caltrans website.  I work for Caltrans and verified it will be completely closed, not just at night.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

I assume this will have a hook on it?
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

It will be interesting.  The chute won't do anything about the current but it will slow you down a bit if it's windy.  Hopefully the NW wind will be offset by a current from the south.  Either way, I love a challenge!
