Does anybody know if the ramp is in the water at Beardsley or how much of trek it would be to get a kayak down to the water. I'm thinking about going there this weekend and I have never been there.
Thanks in advance for the intel!!

I have not been there this year. Last year the water was way down but could still launch from shore. Its rocky and has lots of areas which are wet & lots of bad spots to get stuck in. Just look for a spot like others do. The fishing is awesome all around the small lake. Just about everything you use will get bit. I use a small chrome flasher and drag wedding ring with night crawler threaded, small Kwickfish in Fire Tiger, Super Dupper, Krocodile, spinners. Good luck. I think you will be the first there. Let me know the condition when you get back

The ramp is most likely out of the water.  The better question is if the gate to the Day Use area/launch ramp is open.  It was closed back in November for construction.  Now that the construction is done, hopefully it's open.  It will make launching SO MUCH easier.

The gate to the day use is open. Not sure about the water level. They were putting boats into pinecrest yesterday so Beardsley might be close. You can drive down the ramp and park on it if it not in the water.

Not necessarily as they are on different forks of the Stanislaus.

Thanks for the tips. I think I will shoot up there and see what's going on. I will send a report out when I get back

Made it to Beardsley today. The boat ramp is way out of the water but you can go right at the boat ramp and drive down a bit to launch. We saw one guy launch a 18 foot sea ray!  We fished off the bank for 1.5 hours and got 2 limits in orange power bait. We also got a visit from the dfg. I asked him about driving down to the lake bed and he said that that matter has been resolved with the forest service and it was ok to do it. He said there was about a month where there was a problem but it has been worked out now. I saw about 6 cars down on the lake bed. All in all a good day out!

Thanks for the report. I got to get up there and fish it again. Did you float your PA?
