fwiw I talked to guy on the phone and got a bit more confused than I normally do...was told he'd get back to me for sure with details,we even traded e-mails and confirmed my spot.....had never seen the morro bay landings page, never heard of the Fb page and though I was booking with an adventure oraganzier not the morro bay landings.....but it all worked out....my Buddy and I are on the August trip(more bugs worked out by then maybe-or burned out by then too) and I may/will try and fill a spot on the july and or june if they need and extra to make a full ship

tool--hhahah ,suck it
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

the fine line there...I'm not smart enough to know if I should get mad or not, good thing he told me he was kidding ,because I re-read it 25 times to figure out what toolbox had to do with anything....thought maybe I needed to bring one down on the trip even...

I got your tool guys

Just called Morro Bay Landing.  9 spots filled, 3 spots still open. Its still a go with only 9 spots taken.  I was told to call a few days before the trip for any updates.

Just called Morro Bay Landing.  9 spots filled, 3 spots still open. Its still a go with only 9 spots taken.  I was told to call a few days before the trip for any updates.

I guess(?) I should introduce myself and my buddy Phil, we are paid into the June 20 -22 trip on the Black Pearl.

I don't think Phil (Lopezcador) belongs to NCKF(?), but I (I Zod Out) signed on a couple of months back. We both belong to and frequently post to the CCKF. We both live in Los Osos. I am a retired Cal Poly professor, and Phil is still teaching high school in Santa Clarita. CA. with a few years to go.

My fishing experience dates back way into my youth (over 60 years ago), mostly spending time as boy in Santa Cruz County both fishing and surfing, I am relatively new to kayaking however. Phil is a seasoned Kayaker with over 10 years of experience and owns seven yaks. I am teaching him to fish.

I have fished with Tom Reilly at Montana de Oro, so we know each other. He is a skilled kayaker and fisherman, and I trust he has put together a very well organized trip.

I hope we are ALL very much looking forward to this trip, and the meeting of fellow Kayak fishermen.

Got a call fro Glen of Moro Bay Chartering and he says the Black Pearl has pulled the plug on the trip for this coming 20th. His number is (805) 771-5500. I tried to call the Black Pearl directly at (805) 469-3791 no answer and the mail box is full. They say they will be sending out refund checks at the beginning of the week.
My understanding is the Black Pearl just pulled up anchor and went south. I'm concerned having booked two for this charter. Frank

Yep that's right.  Glenn at Morro bay landing called me and was very apologetic at 11am today. Black Pearl Capt. Just took off and left.  Trip is cancelled. F***k that guy. My Refund check is in the mail.

I'd like to say that I am surprised.  But I'm not.  Some of you may have seen my post on another thread about a kayak fishing trip I took with them years ago.  This behavior is consistent IMO.  Sorry fellas.

I got the same call from Glen on the Big Sur trips. Same for Phil.

Guess? We're waiting for our refund checks with the rest?

I haven't got the call from Glenn but this messes up all the planning I've done.

Mel, wanna go fish somewhere else?

Theres your problem...
couldn't they run the Mothership trips from there?  Or at least offer that option to those that already booked.
