Dilbeck hit the nail on the head with his last two posts.  And this may not have been the best way to go at it and I apologize to this forum.  but I am glad to have found this site, I will be lurking, getting some good tips.

generally I fish from a canoe.  similar to the one on this website:

http://riverbassin.com/forum/showthread.php?6436-My-Rendition-of-the-Tricked-Out-Old-Town-Guide-119

hope it's not a sacrilege to put a canoe reference on this site.  I love to paddle, both canoes and kayaks.

and when in a canoe I generally use a double bladed paddle.  I recently bought a Tenkara fishing rod (google it), a very lazy but fun way to flyfish.  no reel involved.

but my initial post did get Dennis's attention, he called and left a message saying he shipped the gear Friday.

I'm hopeful this time.  what it is is a sail rig for canoes and kayaks.  not just a downwind sail but one that can tack and go into the wind.

again, my thanks to the members here on this forum.

I'd be happy if the moderator can remove this thread, I think there's a happy ending.

I don't think there is a need to remove the thread.  If someone buys or sells stuff to members and has less that credible history of satisfying obligations, I for one want to know.   1 time incident I wouldn't care about,  but when multiple people respond there is most often truth to it. You should never have to keep on someone to fulfill an agreement.

I hope you get your stuff. Please do keep posting! We have sailing paddling. Pedaling. All forms if propulsion on the water in small craft. I would love to see some of the fish you catch and your travels on the water.

Saw him this weekend at Doran baiting crab nets. Introduced myself even though we have meet a leased half a dozen times. When I told him where we meet (NCKA) he said something odd, " Oh that public forum" or something of that nature. Diana and I just walked away didn't fill like engaging.
Last I saw him was at Joel Memorial he's lost even more weight.

five guys named Dennis who are licensed guides on DFG's most updated list.
I don't see anyone named "spike" on the list, which is only recent through 2013. . . .

who knows.  maybe he submits annual DFG guide application about as diligently as he processes everyone's orders of goodies  :smt005  :smt005

Guide licenses are something I am familiar with.  The "list" is never complete, only those who have posted their fees by January or some such.  Last year I got mine in late, so that's why Santa Cruz Kayak Fishing is not on the list for 2013.

It will be on this year's list however, (which should be up now.)

Yes.  It's the same as a walk-in guide, or a drift-boat guide. Potentially lots of trouble if you are guiding without a license.
