Great write up! Welcome. While psychologists may cluster it within a certain addiction group, you will find that Kayak Fishing is an addiction in and of itself.
Good luck on the Hobie. You will obviously need a two kayak setup for your transport, because you will want an OK Malibu XL or a kayak with a child seat so you can take your son out with you.

The funny part is we already bought him a 7 footer that is hiding in the attic rafters until his bday in June, Daddy needs to catch up and find his now.  Otherwise, he'll be yaking and fishing while I'm on the paddle board. LOL
