something stole ..will  never belong to anyone but it's original owner.....no matter who has something at the time...it belongs to whomever it belongs and only them.....and the wheel of life finds it's own balance.....maybe these invaders that  seem to  "dont pay up" or dont "do things the right way"...maybe they are just another part the wheel finding center....it will always find center again......

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

Sorry, but this is simply inaccurate. The Social Security Administration. reports that 75 % of illegal immigrants are on formal payroll and paying taxes mainly by using fraudulent SS#. Theres also many that have individual filing #s from the irs (the irs goes not report these to Dept of Homeland Security. Of course the illegals get very few of the benefits of paying taxes. In addition, they also pay sales tax, property tax via rents.
I doubt its 75%, Most of the illegals doesn't work in corporate businesses, specially now that there's E-Verify. The I-9 has been modified to verify a persons identity.

I also believe that illegals do not work in corporate.

Do you think that this 75% does not affect you - you are wrong!

here is two examples from my experience:
1. my father lost all benefits during chemotherapy - thanks to lady working in house cleaning in So.Cal ... we had nightmare for 2 weeks - right now we have same "excises" every 2 years, thanks to cops and SS administration who opened cases but did not let them go.
2. my coworker lost chance for low interest refinancing due to somebody uses his wife social security ....

i can continue ....

choose any of situation for yourselves and decide if you support illegal immigration....

Igor,

I apologize if you misunderstood me. I just think 75% was a little high. I do agree that there are people become victims of fraud SSS, its devastating to anyone whose identity is stolen. Once the damage is done most are irreparable. This is why the immigration reforms need to be address. Otherwise, there will be more dad will lose benefits or friends who may be denied to refinance. We cannot prevent illegal immigrants who come to US to hope for better future for their family. But we can hope the government will do the right thing.

Thanks.

Darius,

as step #1 of the reform should be more seriously protection of our borders and not only tight security at airports
#2 we need to use seasonal visas for agriculture support.

immigration amnesty should take place only after we tight security at our borders otherwise as it was mentioned already we'll see another huge wave of illegal immigration.

unfortunately, illegal immigration leads to waves of crimes and etc...

it's crazy topic - I know what it takes to see instability everyday and look for any possibility to make extra penny because you do not know what to expect tomorrow. i spent about 7 years trying to get to US legally and I never considered any illegal moves. I would like that reform bring change and may be simplify visa process.

Would be a great idea, especially with all the crystal meth that's cooked down south. That would be awesome for our country!

Putting aside ethnicity, California at some point won't be able to support the population. California is what it is because of agriculture and we cover our prime earth with Starbucks, condos and strip malls.

I drove down to Salinas a couple years ago and checked out the little house on a ranch inbetween Salinas and Castrovile that I spent the first 5 years of my life in. I was surprised to see asphalt and condos stretching about halfway out San Jon Rd., which used to be artichokes for miles.

Pretty soon it will all look like L.A. or Bakersfield or Fresno or East Bay, etc, etc. The price of food, water, livestock, property will keep skyrocketing, etc., etc.  Too many rats, too small of a cage, then the virus hits.

We aren't going to stop mother earth giving herself an enema. There really isn't anything we can do to stop it, so it seems to me that this topic is useless.

History shows we have always blamed the immigrants for all the ills of this country.     The Irish,  Germans,  Chinese,,, for years  now it's the Mexicans.
People who blame immigrants for the loss of jobs, should look within.       For every one of those 11 - 12 million illegals ,   at least that many more jobs have been exported with this  "Free Trade" status Congress approved.
There was a time we had choices between American or Chinese made products on our shelves.    Each time you pick an import off a shelf,,, YOU send another American worker to the unemployment line.
All these corporations who grew profitable  over the years on the backs of American labor have learned it was " OK" to send your jobs overseas.   You'll buy their brand ,,, because;  we just don't make the connection;  don't care,  or as is the case today,,, we just don't have a choice anymore.
I remember all the arguments for Free Trade.   " It will boost american exports " .   Corporations whined they can't compete, unless they move manufacturing overseas.
   Bullshit !  It's all bull...
When they say they can't " compete"  they mean  they can't pay their CEO the same multi-billion dollar salary the other guy is getting...      These corporate exec's who reap all the profits, don't want to employ American's,,, they just want your dollars.       American jobs were about the only thing we boosted exports of.

How did this country get this way???     Blame it on Lobbyist, corruption of government, lack of ethics, lack of patriotism,  Greed !      30 years ago there were only a handful of  Lobbyists  in Washington.    Today it's a thriving industry, serving nearly every country around the globe,,, including Russia.     WTF ?      Call it what it is... LEGALIZED BRIBERY OF OUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES.
I'd like to see everyone of them who voted for this " Free Trade"  get lined up and shot for treason to their country.  Our congress should only have the ear of their constituents.  Period !     Not every conniving thief ( lawyer ) with cash in hand and a plan on how to graft more taxpayer dollars .      This congress that has put us  17 Trillion Dollars in debt...!

We've gone from a manufacturing industry, to a service industry.   The top ten states with economic growth are all service related jobs.     In my lifetime I've watched the steel mills shutdown.  Industrial zones are like old ghost towns with broken out windows and rusted frames.     Who's left to pay the taxes that build our infrastructure ?    Hell,,,, we had to import most of the SF Bay Bridge from China.      All those huge Gantry cranes at the ship docks,,, built and imported from China...       I've watched 6-8 container ships / day move into the SF Bay, loaded.   They go back out with empty containers...
BTW,,,  That's   Communist China,,,  #1 ally to N. Korea,   Great human rights advocate.    Friend of the American consumer...

Illegals wouldn't be an issue today if we still had product labeled  " Made in USA "   on our store shelves.

Interesting idea!

Congressional reform is way over due. Instead of just sending around an email like we did before, a petition has been created. If you agree with Warren Buffett, please sign the petition at the below link. If your apprehensive about clicking an unknown hyperlink simply go to whitehouse.gov and view the open petitions.

https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions/!/petition/congressional-reform/5ndVH1pz

Warren Buffett, in  an interview with CNBC , offers one of the best quotes about the debt  ceiling:

"I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You  just
pass a  law that  says that anytime there is a deficit of  more
than 3% of   GDP , all  sitting members of Congress are  ineligible
         for re-election.

The  26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18  year-olds)
took only 3  months & 8 days to be ratified!  Why? Simple!
The people demanded it.  That was in 1971 - before computers, e-mail,
         cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to  the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1)  year
or less to become the  law of the land - all because of public  pressure.

Warren Buffet is asking  each addressee to forward this email  to
a minimum of twenty  people on their address list; in turn  ask
each of those to do  likewise.

In  three days, most people in The United States of America  will
have the  message.  This is one idea that really should be  passed
          around.

   Congressional Reform Act of 2012

         1. No Tenure / No Pension.

A  Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives  no
pay when they're out of  office.

         2.   Congress (past, present & future) participates in  Social
           Security.

All  funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to  the
Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow  into
the Social Security  system, and Congress participates with  the
American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

         3.  Congress can purchase their own retirement plan,  just as  all
        Americans do.

        4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.
Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

        5. Congress loses  their current health care system and
participates in the same health care system as the American  people.

         6.  Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on  the
         American people.

        7. All  contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void
effective 1/1/12. The  American people did not make this contract with     Congressmen/women.

Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving  in
Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding  Fathers
envisioned citizen  legislators, so ours should serve  their
term(s), then go  home and back to  work.

If each  person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it  will
only take three days  for most people (in the U.S. ) to  receive
the message.   Don't you think it's time?

THIS IS HOW YOU CAN FIX CONGRESS!
"Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain."
