They had a pike problem at Davis lake a few years ago. I think someone illegally introduced them into the lake. The dfg has tried to eradicate them twice.

Sorry for the threadjack, but was the last attempt successful?  Don't know that I've heard any recent reports of pike in Davis.

Is it just me or are the eyes on those carp freakishly low on their head?  Almost to the bottom on it's head.

I think the last attempt in 2007 was successful.

Do you catch many yellowfin gobies and Shimofuri gobies? I have never fished for them so have no idea about the extent of their invasion.

I used to get quite a few in Lake Merritt. Kirk days there are quite a few in the south bay..
