I will be excited to see this build. We were having one built, but cancelled the order. Long story... Now we are on the look out for one. I wish I had the time and skill to build one. There is a sweet forum out there you should check out: tntt

      Thanks,,,    didn't mean to threadjack your post.    I'd say you have the biggest challenge, with all the rust clean up, etc.     Be sure to post up the finished work.       
    Is there some sort of registration requirement  needed, after modifying a trailer ?

What are the dimensions of the trailer you are using? 4' x 8'?

The trailer is 4' wide by about 7' plus the tongue. The tear is going to hang over the front corners by about a foot each side.
