these kids are running me ragged!  launched out of hmb yesterday, ran to pescadero, stuck an easy limit of blues and blacks, release all but 20 of the largest ones.

in 2 hours, the kids were starting to get bored of this non-stop fishing, so we took a little run to check on some friends of mine at bean hollow ....

then we ran down past the lighthouse to check on another old friend of mine....

then back up to the lighthouse for a few more fish....

and then home.  i cleaned the fish on the way back and let mitch drive.  i finished up just as we were crusing past the 1 south bouy, and took over the wheel. just for kicks, i decided to open it up and see how fast this tub of mine goes.  we hit 42 mph (statute miles).  hmmm, not bad.  always good to end kid's trip on a high note!

alan, do you remember the english guy who took the photo of us in front of your boat?

he had to move back to get "those whacking great motors in the shot".

good to know they can push that fine fishing platform ahead when the water lets you open it up.

a couple more years and those girls can tie your knots for you, pilot your boat and clean your fish!
They look like veterans already. (I assume that is your nefarious plan?)
