I caught my first fish this morning fishing from a kayak.  Probably be one ill remember.  It's also my first keeper size striped bass that I've caught.  It was 36 inches and 18 pounds!  Caught it right in front of Wimpys Marina in Sacramento at 7am trolling a plug with a white plastic worm off the back treble and some shad scent.  It took me for one heck of a ride. I'm glad I had my big net.  It's now part of my new profile picture.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Congrats!  It's hard to forget the first especially a BIG one.  You should post the picture of the fish.

Big mistake! You we're suppose to catch a small fish first then catch the bigger fish, you've got it backwards :smt044
