It sort of bothers me when people call my kayak a canoe. It's like calling a pickup truck a car.

I just spent two weeks explaining to the folks we are taking out on HEROS I the Water that we are going in Kayaks. And they still ask "can the canoes sink?"

Are they the same in the non kayaking world? I don't get it.

How about when people say "oar" and "row" instead of paddle?  :smt002

I'm pretty sure in the UK among other parts of the world, kayak and canoe are essentially interchangable terms. Sometimes I hear and refer to kayaks as "boats"...its all semantics

How did you get to "sand dab" level so quickly is the question.

I sometimes call my kayak a "boat" but never a canoe

When she was ~3 years old, my oldest pronounced it "Kai-hack". It stuck. 5 years on I still go Kai-hacking.

I grew up paddling canoes and I bought my first canoe when I was 15 years old and it was great until I traded it for a kayak back in 2005. No big deal to me if people don't know any better- kind of like the difference between football and soccer...
Less Mental than before, Still savage AF tho <3
