what am I talking about..

watching the Normandy specials this weekend…   it was a slaughter of our waves of men hitting Omaha Beach…  all the shelling done earlier never took out the Germans on the high ground…  it was not till the Navy broke orders and moved their Battle cursers into the shallows and took out the German guns on the bluff.  That brave move in defying orders is what tip the scale for the men to advance on Normandy.

Sounds like my Branch …  breaking the rules to get things done…  Does this sound right Seaman Kayakjack?

As a Vet all I can ays is thanks to all of you for being out there for this HOW event!  I can't say how proud I am of you guys, but just once I wish the National Guard would not schedule their big events at the same time as HOW big events, just once.

It was a great day and a very humbling experience to be a part of thank you to all the men and women that put their lives on the line for our freedom
