For those of you not familiar with Mr. Phillips he built a mock Atomic bomb for a physics class back in the 1970's, not as big a deal as many would think.  But don't let them start collecting old smoke detectors...bad news there, as one kid try to build  his own reactor and really just built his own superfund site.  I have hard papers on it from when I was at TEEX, I will try to find you a link to it.

As long as everything is on a common ground they are pretty much safe. Tesla Coils are high volts low amps and it is the amps that can kill you. I took a 100 amp 480 volt hit off of an industrial furnace and if it wasn't for me pulling back so quickly, I'd be dead. Hurt like hell and I had muscle spasms and cramping the rest of the day on the side I got "bit" on.

Amen, I got hit once on a overhaul at a fire,  thought the truck crew got the power,,, nope, there was separate gig for the the 220…  Ouch…  good thing I hit with the back of my hand… kicked my ass pretty hard…

  Funny tonight in testing,  Noah got a little close with the flouresent light and it hit it…  got a little education he did, but like you said,  did not hurt him.  He said he would not do that again…. 

Were also grounding to the a pole in the ground. I was most worried about our capacitor array, but again they did their homework and it's fully discharging…

next one will be bigger and flow to music…   Thanks for the tips, it's driving their mother nuts and keeping me on my toes….
