  We, Nor Cal HOW, cannot be a part of the raffle as it's considered "gambling" and non-profits cannot be involved, or something like that…

Can't say enough about what Dan and Headwaters Kayak is doing to help Nor Cal HOW self sustain itself and getting us closer to our own trailer

National HOW in Texas, is going to match 1/2 of all funds donated to Nor Cal HOW, ( contingent on me getting paperwork in on-time..  and a couple of other bench marks of what we do including a couple camp over events, which is in the works,  which means were looking good…   

  So, your raffle ticket just got more valuable towards funding Nor Cal HOW…

I'm getting some questions from HOW chapters across the nation about buying tickets and who pays for shipping.  I thought we were going to keep this a local raffle as to not interfere with other chapters raising money, but still there is interest.

I think it's about a $100 bucks to ship a kayak across the Nation and my thought if we do open it to that, the winner would pay for shipping?

  Any thoughts on this Dan?

Winner would pay shipping and it would be $250 or so. Shipping a single kayak is not cheap, especially if you want to keep it in one piece. Everyone is going nuts over this boat. The Camo looks so sweet!

I, like you,  would like to see this boat stay local anyway…  I'm supplying the HOW stickers!

F.O.B Headwaters would be my understanding.  Anything else, well...  we'll sell it at auction for them and send the proceeds to them from that auction...  minus a 'donation' of 15%?

Heck, if the winner wants to auction it off, I'd bid a dollar or two.... 


FOB is an acronym for "free on board", meaning that the buyer pays for transportation of the goods.  If you put me in charge of the transportation, I'm sure it would get shipped... someday.  Ha!
