Our Steelhead Are BACK!

Today I opened the window and saw a rather odd ripple in the water 

Grabbed my camera and ran down to the river! 

Could these be the spawn of the first pair we first spotted two years ago???  Dunno, but I like to think so! 

Al the underwater slam cam footage was awesome.  thx for sharing that!

Nice,i can remember trout coming up stream from uvas dam to spawn in our creek.made it hard to not want to catch .  But they are soo tasty. oh by the way I didn't catch any of the ones spawning up stream.

Great picture! Good to see a fisherman just take pictures every once in a while!

 

  I'll have to take a walk down to my creek and see if I have any visitors gracing our small waters now!

Man, what a valentines day gift!    Gonna be hard to not just sit down by the river all day 

Oh and sorry if it wasn't clear... that video is from two years ago when we first moved to this place.  They are practically in the exact same spot!  There are a few larger ones, and several smaller ones splashing around down there.  Very cool!!!

Gonna have to come by and check em out. And I promise to leave the spear gun at home...

With the low flows it is really nice to see fish can still make it up the river.
