just like a Patis recipe - with rice added!
BTW: If you have eaten Thai/Southesat Asian food you have tasted the "juice" of this or something similar :smt044

Some call it fish sauce some call it "juice" gotta love it, I know I do but......not so sure about eating the fermented flesh and the "paste"...... no way.

Reminds me of the fermented herring roe they eat in Japan, it has paste as well, too stinky for me and I have eaten some unique things.

Bon apatite,

Hightide,

I am born and raise in Pamapanga where you BURO is originated, I love it, the only thing is I will only eat buro if my moms make it. Gurami and Tilapia are by far the best I've known. My mom still sent me some whenever relatives goes from their vacation, I love them sauteed lots of onions garlic and tomatoes, Grill or Fried fish with eggplant is the bomb! I even have pickled mango but I found them a good match o crabs....

interesting.

I've been wanting to experiment with salted fish, as I've read some english recipes that use it.
But I probably won't start with this right off :smt005.

BTW if you guys like Kimchi, it has raw oysters and shrimps fermented in it along with all the cabbage n stuff. Or if you eat anchovies with your Pizza.   I just added the rice :smt044
Kimchi from scratch is gonna be my next production....I was stationed in Korea for a year so I've gotten to like it.  Stay Tuned.
