In the bay area or up here?

Got the whole week off so I'm down to travel a bit.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

I'm going out Thursday, depending on conditions.  Probably Stillwater Cove in Carmel, if anyone wants to join me.

Ooooh, been wanting to go to Stillwater pj. The swell forecast looks like it'll be 5-7 feet on thursday, would it still be Still-water? Wouldn't mind checking it out if it can handle.

Also the golf tounaments are going:

Wal-Mart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach

Wed / Thurs, Aug. 30-31
Practice rounds at Pebble Beach and Del Monte
Thursday, Aug. 31
4:30 p.m.: Coca-Cola Champions Challenge (FREE!) - Pebble Beach Golf Links

It looks like since it's practice it's be pretty low key. Do you know if it's still be doable?

Bah...I remember reading about the golf tourney, but thought it started Friday.  Hmm...not so sure now.  I've also been to Stillwater just once, in good conditions, so I'm not sure what it'll be like with that swell.  Maybe someone more familiar with the area can chime in?

The Wal Mart Tourney has practice on Thurs. and there's another, Coca Cola Challenge, that starts at 4:30 PM.

wonder if it'd be a no-go because of all this...

Rock Hopper,
I was thinking of Bodega Bay on Thursday but I'm willing to consider some other North Coast areas if you are interested.

If the stars align correctly, I'll be paddling out at Davenport Landing on thursday morning around 8:30-9am.

Still looking for that flatty.

I haven't gotten my halibut or been to  Davenport this year, so Thursday sounds good.  Looks like the weatherwind should be o.k..

Don't wont to undermine your enthusiasm for a Dav halibut, but I was there last Sat with Fishcamp and his friend. We fished all day along with up to 12 PBs in the spot straight-out. I caught a tiny halibut and there was almost no action for the PBs. Rockfish only for most.
Dav is fished-out. :smt010
We are three weeks too late.

Craig- WTG, you got one!  Sorry it wasn't big enough to keep?

Tom....  my plans are still on.  Ed Burrell fished there Monday and saw a bunch pulled up at that spot. Tuesday was windy but thursday is forecast for lighter winds......... fingers are crossed. Love to see you out there tomorrow, sorry I'll have such a late start.
