Jeff, Lake Oroville is about 20-30 minutes from Chico.  It depends what side of the lake.  Lime Saddle is the closest launch to Chico.  All the other boat launches are on the Oroville side of the lake.  These are all the paid launches.  There are however, car top launches that don't require any fee to launch.  When the water comes back up that is the way to go.  On the Chico side of the lake we have Nelson Bar and Vinton Gulch, both are free car top launching only.  The funny thing is, this Coho was caught at Nelson Bar but we had to paddle from Lime Saddle due to the low water levels.
