I like the group paddle idea.  I have always wanted to do something like that but did not have the partners required to do it safely. It would be a gas to do it as a large group and for a good cause.

Chef has the support of everyone here. We'll try to help keep him entertained until we can have a welcome back party.

We could do it like a poker run.  Give locations, gps or some other identifier, with someone there to give out the cards, at least a half dozen spots.  You have to stay in the spot for so many minutes or until you catch a keeper fish.  No high grading allowed.  C&R only if fish is viable.  Photo proof allowed.  Winner is first in and best hand.  We could launch from San Carlos or MBK......... :smt002

I guaranty Chef will be entertained if we all wear a chefs hat while we paddle around.

Great news,
We just got another kayak donated to the Steve Moyer Memorial tournament raffle.
We are going to raffle off that kayak separately and donate all proceeds to the Chef fund

WE now have 137 signed up for the tournament, so $2 from each entry and the raffle should combine for a  few bucks to help out.
I know that Steve had surgery yesterday and everything I have heard is that it went well.
My best wishes to Steve for a Speedy recovery

That's great Jim.

It is good to see that the NorCal SoCal divide is not a chasm between kayak anglers!

We have a great community we kayak anglers, I jut wish the whole world could learn from our example.

Hey there Chef!  That's gotta hurt so keep hitting that painmed button and daydreaming about the next time you hook up a big one

This might sound nuts but I say the Chef ought to stash whatever he can and keep it under the radar of the medical collectors so when this all blows over he can get himself a new kayak(maybe one of those Dorados) and some fresh gear

In fact what my wife and I send is hereby designated to be used exclusively as fishing funds and shall under no circumstances be used to pay medical bills

Ok here is the final Tally
180 kayak anglers in the tournament
We earned $9,491.35 for the American Cancer Society
and $2,055.00 for the Chef Stephano fund.

Thank you all once again for supportting this great event. It is only great because of you.
