I went for a quick PM scouting trip today for the awards pre-fish, and I hit a striper bonanza. I got a fish every 3 or 4 casts, and they were hitting all over the surface. I foolishly forgot my topwater plugs, but a rattletrap proved just as deadly (although not as much fun as topwater).  Most of the striper were in the 20 inch range, but there were big fish in the water too.  I lost a big one trying to horse it away from a log, since I ran straight braid it ended up bending out the rear treble and shaking off. I did however manage to land a 30inch healthy looking girl.
