Hello NCKA Members!  My name is Patrick and I am a newbie to kayak fishing.  I just got a Hobie Outback at then end of December to get in some fishing along with the benefits of some exercise.  So far I've just been fishing for stripers on the Petaluma River.  Looking forward to getting out in different and more challenging waters to do more fishing.  I want to get more experience so I have relatively decent skills when salmon fishing season hits.

I look forward to meeting NCKA members at future events.  I would be interested in any group fishing trips in the area.  I appreciate the positive attitude and knowledge shares this group provides.  Very Cool!  Thanks.

I'm in Petaluma as well.  I get out just about every weekend if you ever want to join.  The majority of my fishing is freshwater though.  I fish Lake Sonoma a good bit but my favorite water is Clear Lake even though it's a decent drive.  I do fish the coast but it's closed now until May.  Can't wait to get some more rockfish and ling when it opens back up though!!

I'm in Novato, let me know if you want to get out sometime.

You mentioned stripers on the Petaluma river, are they biting now?  I've been over there off black point a couple of times with no luck.  Water was nestles quick brown...

Another welcome here. I'm Brian from Alameda. Having grown up in North Marin I just have to say, Petaluma will always be a special place to me, as I had many fond and memorable experiences there in my youth. Is the Pheonix Theater still happening?

Well, I live in Alameda now so PM me when you want to launch at the Rockwall. Cheers.
