Didn't get a chance to work on it last night. My wife's computer still hates me and I need to get that up and running since she's a photographer and she needs photo shop to work. I'm also working 7 days this week so I'm trying to do what I can when I'm off. I'll keep plugging away at the computer tonight and hopefully get somewhere with it so I can get this going for you guys. Hope in to have a new design tonight but only if the computer works thanks for understanding

Silhouettes of soldiers looks too 'busy' to my eye compared to the 'bumper sticker' version.  Also, the soldiers eludes to Army only, not all branches and First Responders, and it doesn't portray the fishing or kayak aspect in the visual.  Why not a fighter jet or a gun boat instead of an infantryman?  See what I mean? A logo should be all inclusive I would think. 
The fish camo is a stroke of genius I think!  Very subliminal in it's message of a combat warrior and fishing combined.   
The outline of the state map, or of Northern California is a little too ambiguous as well as too 'busy' of a logo. 

Anyways, just my opinion, which, with a dollar, will get you a cup of coffee at McDonalds!  ha!

I like the half state back ground and of course the camo fish…

I still would like to see the soldiers black silhouette with HOW logo centered…  I hear ya Skipro on all inclusive, believe me I have heart for first responders too…

You're never going to get a logo all-inclusive enough to satisfy everyone. Why even include the national H.O.W. logo at all? What you're after is a NorCal H.O.W. identity.

Perhaps a kayak, even with a kayaker aboard, emblazoned with H.O.W. and NCKA with the names of the various branches surrounding it.

I think this is from Allen, TX chapter.  Maybe each kayak could have a service branch name on it airbrushed into the color.  Subtle but still readable?

Kinda bummed I think I got my computer problems fixed started working happened to take this picture and a few mins after it freezes and I loose all my work. Not a good night lol oh well ill try again tomorrow early day for me so hopefully I will be off early and can do some more tomorrow.

Having just read through all of this I'm impressed with the ideas and efforts - nice work!   

Something that came to mind was "what unites all branches of the service who would potentially be in HOW?"  A salute is the image that came to me.

How about the silhouette is of a salute, and he/she is in a kayak with the paddle in the other hand?  It'll be hard to pull off, but I think it could be powerful.
