I voted most recent posts at the bottom.
I want to read the first post so I know what the subject matter is all about.
Kind of like reading a book, start at page one.
The last post about the GS7 results (which would be the most recent post in that thread) report was this:

Definitely, James

WTF does that have to do with the report? As I read on (Backwards) I'm sure it would make sense but that's definitely NOT the first thing I want to read when I open up the thread. As the very first thing I read when I open it up it makes no sense at all.
I don't want to read a book backwards, why would I want to read a thread that way?

Of course 53.8% of the people think otherwise!

Most of those votes were before you reworded it.  Could have been that they thought they were voting on thread order and not post order.

I dunno.  The choices were still worded correctly.  But either way, the voting is still split about 50/50.

Change your vote if I confused you ...

I agree with Tote.  Threads flow better when the posts are in descending order (oldest at top, newest at bottom).  When threads are set up with the newest post at the top, it's like trying to read a script backwards.

Or here's another analogy: it'd be like seeing the ewoks dancing on Endor with the explosion of the second Death Star, yet you have no idea what's happening because you never saw the beginning of the story AND you already spoiled the ending.

But different strokes for different folks.  Allen, just please don't remove the option of how we can read the threads  :smt003.

I have been playing.  Got out 3 times in the past week, crabbing one day and steelheading 2 days.  And yes, I caught a steelhead.  And Tote didn't.   :smt044
