How far is the big island from the campground? I will be fishing with Cody, and if it is a really long ways, might drive around and launch closer to the BI.

Ricci, can we launch from anywhere on the lake?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!..Everyone must launch from lupine shores..I will be posting a final Info., swag, camping info, and Intel this weekend so look forward to it.

Matt, On Saturday, the festival will be on the left as you come in. Can't miss it. There will be plenty of parking. You'll figure it out.

Yes Ben, I mean Steele Canyon. As long as your kayak is launching from anywhere from Steele Canyon Resort/Campground your Ok. Leaving or launching your yak at campsite is OK

NEW INFO. EVERYONE MUST READ

Late Arrivals:For everyone and anyone who is arriving late on Sat. evening, Amber or somebody will be open to checkin till 8:00pm. If you are arriving on Sunday the day of the Tourney The Gates will be open at 5:30am. Please arrive Early so to give yourself time to load up. I will be doing early morning checkins somewhere near my campsite(77-76).

Checking In: Everyone who is Fishing the Tourny MUST Checkin with me Sunday morning before launching. Once you have received your bracelet, you are good to launch. The Bracelet must be in view in EVERY PICTURE for every fish entered for points. NO EXCEPTIONS! If Anyone tries to alter, manipulate, or cheat this system he/she will be Immediately Disqualified.

Launching: If your fishing the Tourny, You must launch from Steele Canyon Resort, No exceptions. This is only fair for everyone. Launching from and or below your campsite is OK as well as the main boat Launch.

Weigh In:You must be ready or In line for Weigh-In by No Later than 1:15pm. No exceptions. Please don't be late. I would hate to DQ YOU. Myself and Help will be checking your cameras for Pics. Please try to take good clean pics with the mouth close on a good Hawg Trough or ruler. Furthermore, to make it easier on me and for a speedy weigh-in, please try to have All your photos for entry ready to go and edit or delete all other photos of the same fish before submitting them to me. Do Not attempt to show me the same fish Twice! You will be DQ!

Potluck: Sunday's Potluck will begin Immediately after Weigh-In. We will plan on doing the award ceremony and Raffle by 2:00 sharp. Sunday's Potluck will be held in the North CampGround. You can't miss it.

The Fishing: As of lately, the Kokanee bite is heating up. A big boat tournament recently had Lots of Kokanee, Rainbows, and Big Kings weigh In. Most of the fish caught in the Main Body. Good Kokanee fishing will be at least a 2.5 mile paddle/peddle from launch, so keep that in mine. Trout are usually anywhere just cover a lot of water. Kings will be deep. The bass are in all stages of the spawn and will be anywhere and everywhere. Please be careful with the spawning fish/females and release quickly. There is a Algae Bloom right now in effect at Lake Berryessa, mostly out in the deeper and main body of water. Checking and clearing your lines every 15-20ins. would be Ideal to keep a good presentation. LIVE BAIT such as minnows, nightcrawlers, and crawdads are OK to use in this Tourny.

* If you have a Pop-Up tent, please bring it. The camp grounds offer little Shade.

One more week Fellas and ladies...Lets get it On! :smt002
