My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I just need another wall, to add to my fleet. Mahoney brackets work for me.
when you leave your yaks stored in the j hooks it doesn't leave dents in the hull.

I made this roll around cart for the garage. Wheel it out for work space and wheel it in for the night.

For one boat?

P.S. Captain Yak has got a sweet set up if you have the wall space.

I think I could scrounge up the steel tubing. They sell casters at harbor freight. Probably could make a cart for one boat around 150.00

You can get a hoist kit to hang a yak from the ceiling.  I have two mountain bikes stored from the ceiling with hoist kits.  I think I got the kits at REI.

I tried to do the ceiling thing but I couldn't find an area in my garage that worked. It was always in the way of one of the doors. I really like the looks of that metal cart. I'm sure the metal one is nicer, making one out of wood is cheaper and can be made by most anyone with a saw. I had to go with smaller casters so it would fit under the garage door.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

Hey Craig, can I please see a picture of your cart from the side?  I'd like to make one

About those J hooks causing dents. I'm glad you said something about that because I believe they would cause dents after time. So I put short pieces of a pool noodle between the J hook and the kayak. Problem solved. Thanks for the heads up.

To finish it I put a piece of ply on the bottom for storage. Hooks on the upright in the back to hang stuff from. The paddles store well in the top. This originally was a roll around table at the shop that I built to assemble and store car parts during the collision repair process. So you can see from the backside that its overkill on the frame work.
