GS8 - Only one brief capsizing reported - WTG, Everybody!

"GS1" would've been you, me, PK, Etienne, MBYakker and Hawk - 5 of us are set to reunite at GS8.

GS2 was only a suggested hookup - dozens were poised to commit, but a major weather system nullified the entire event.  Literally no one showed.

GS3 we had a MBF type tourney, but it was free!  We had a few donated prizes (thanks, KayakGreg Mouton), and Jedmo won it with a 56" Wolf Eel!!  He also caught a nice octopus that weekend with Ariel's help.  Dustin had a lingcod that took second (34"?), and I took 3rd with a lingcod around 32"...  Around 45 of us participated.  Domenic caught a Pacific Halibut out by the Whistle the day before the tournament - to my knowledge, this was the first Pac Hali caught from a kayak in California!   

GS4 it got more official.  Big Jim won AOTD and an Ocean Kayak Trident 15!  There were around 85 of us competing.  Another Pac Hali was caught, but I can't remember who it was right now...

GS5 Terry won it with an awesome 49" Pac Hali on top of a rock/ling scorecard, and there were other halibut landed.

GS6 Jim won it with a nice stringer C&R'd of rockfish, lingcod, cabezon and greenling, and a salmon retained, if I'm not mistaken.  Was a pac hali caught but just not on tourney day?...

GS7  Jim won it again with a nice stringer of C&R'd rockfish, lingcod, cabezon and greenling, and a retained salmon (is this right?  or am I losing my mind?!!  Way to go, Jim!!)

I think GS4 was the year Darius caught his PacHali the day after the Tourney?
