GS8 - Only one brief capsizing reported - WTG, Everybody!

Has anyone started a team thread yet?

No - someone will have to volunteer to take care of it if team scoring is going to happen.

Super stoked to be attending my first GS.  I will be taking off out of SOMOCO super early Friday morning and passing through the Bay area before traffic starts on Friday.  Anyone want to Carpool?  Plant to leave Sunday about 10:00.

I can't wait for Shelter Cove!  Some of my best NCKA memories are of that place - chilling at the campground, great fishing, locals firing gunshots/fireworks on the beach, the time we met the "fire chief" of Shelter Cove . .   

Well I'm in for GS8 and bringing a buddy from TX as well.  We're leaving San Antonio on 5/11 - gonna do some pre-fishing on the way out.  Look forward to seeing some of you again and meeting some of the new folks as well.           

I can not wait ....my 2nd event at the COVE.....My better half  could be setting a GS record this year ..I am 80% sure she will be joining me at GS8 and she will be traveling from Virginia just for GS ....could  that be a distance traveled for a GS event record ??

Right on!!  This means we should have 5 of the original 6 GS participants at the event.  Too bad Hawk had to fall off the radar... 

Looking forward to wrapping up registration over the next few days and seeing where we land for numbers - 220, 230?...  200 at least...

Thanks Adam for doing the Team thing again this year.  My brother and I will be the Bald Eagles again.  For your info I have spotted 2 bald eagles at Folsom Lake recently and yes they were not my brother and myself.  I think they are nesting there as I have seen them for the past month and last week I even saw one swoop down and snag a fish out of the lake.
