Pretty sure im out. :smt010.. Gonna head to Utah to spread Brendas fathers ashes.

Shelter Cove is a beautiful spot to spread ashes!   I hope my ashes will be spreaded there (will mention this wish to my wife).

It won't be the same without you, Bro, but you gotta make the journey that your family needs.  We'll be thinking about you guys.

If there's some way you can make it - hopefully with Kris and Brenda - we'd all love to spend the time with you.   :smt001

So, check it out...

Kokatat is coming through in a big way at Gimme Shelter Eighth Annual Kayakfishing Tournament.  The Sportsman of the Day, determined by highest catch and release score in the tournament (all fish released), will receive a new t3 Supernova Angler Drysuit!  Bring your skills, determination, ability and desire.  You'll need them all against the field that's assembling.   :smt001

I did not plan on keeping fish Tourney day anyway to go with the spirit of the day. I sure will like that dry suit.

That will be a common misperception, Rob.  You can keep fish - it's just your scoring that needs to be C&R, and you only get the C&R bonus if you didn't keep a larger fish of that species.

Theoretically...  You could catch and release a 30" lingcod - 30 x 5 points per inch = 150 plus 30 bonus points for the release and good photo on a trough.  Then keep a 29" lingcod or two.  Catch and release a 20" rockfish - 20 x 7 = 140 plus 20 bonus points.  Then keep a limit of rockies under 20"...  Same thing for cabs and greenling.  Then, you could catch and KEEP either or both of halibut and salmon.

That's the way to win Sportsman of the Day, very likely Angler of the Day, and get to keep some great fish if you want to, of course!   :smt001
